Highlights From the November 7, 2009 MSOTA Board Meeting
- The checking account balance as of October 6, 2009 is $10,856.28 and savings balance is $26,885.30 for a total net worth is $37,741.58.
- A ballot for President-Elect and Bylaws revision changes to make the fiscal year of the association the calendar year and to create a rolling year for membership will be sent to the membership the first of the year.
- MSOTA is again sponsoring a legislative breakfast with MPTA and MSHA in January at the Old Capital Inn in Jackson.
- Penny Rogers, OTR/L is now representing MSOTA on the MSU/TK Martin Center for Assistive Technology, AgrAbility program board.
- Online membership is on the website and has been used by approximately 50 members.
- Current membership: 146 OT/OTA; 119 Students.
- A Scope of Practice committee was formed to address recent issues. Pam Claypool, OTR/L volunteered to chair.
- The board met after the board meeting to set goals and activities for the 2010 year.
Next meeting is scheduled for March 27, 2010
